Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata resides on the North Coast of the country. It is the perfect blend of being immersed in the Dominican culture, with access to beautiful beaches, great hotels and all the amenities and infrastructure for an expat to live comfortably. The airport is roughly 20 minutes away from the heart of the city.  There are 2 major cruise ports in Puerto Plata (Amber Cove and Taino Bay) which create healthy traffic of tourists exploring the downtown core on a daily basis. As a result, Puerto Plata is one of the safest cities to live in on the island.
